Serenity Workstation for Quiet Operation
Quiet – Peaceful – Silent… Serenity. The Puget Systems Serenity is as quiet as computers can get without going completely fanless, which would drastically limit the hardware that could be used.
Overview
Intel’s high-efficiency Core processors are the platform for this system, which include onboard graphics, and we use the compact Fractal Define 7 Mini chassis to reduce size while still allowing flexible hardware choices internally. The stock case fans are replaced with super-quiet Noctua models, and the layout of those fans is adjusted to cool the components selected with as little excess noise as possible. Parts which generate additional noise, like hard drives and fan-cooled video cards, are not allowed because they will make the system more audible. That does limit graphics performance and storage space, however, so if you need a dedicated NVIDIA card or more drive capacity please check out our other systems.
If you want as little noise as possible, in a small tower, this is it!
