The NVIDIA L40S is an enterprise-class compute GPU designed for use in server configurations. It uses the new Ada Lovelace architecture and offers similar specifications to the RTX 6000 Ada - but with less aggressive clock speeds in order to ensure stability under constant load and long-term reliability.
These GPUs are passively cooled, so they can only be used in systems that are specifically designed to provide plenty of airflow through the heatsinks on these cards. While video output may not be common from servers, these cards do support four DisplayPort 1.4a connections.
