The ASUS RS700-E12-RS12U is a 1U rackmount server built to utilize a pair of 5th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors. Each of those offers up to 64 cores and supports 12 DDR5 channels - ensuring plenty of processing power and memory bandwidth for running extremely CPU-intensive workloads.
For storage, this system has two M.2 slots internally and twelve 2.5-inch hot-swap bays along the front - each of which can support SATA or NVMe drives.
External connectivity consists of two USB ports, two 10 Gb Ethernet ports, and another RJ45 for remote management. There is also a VGA port for the onboard graphics, but that is mostly present to facilitate the IPMI (remote management). For expansion, there are one OCP 3.0 and a few PCI-Express 5.0 slots
