A+ Certified, Microsoft Certified Professional, Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician
THEN: - before Puget -
I have worked in the computer industry since 1997. My experience includes: System and network administration, customer service, interactive software testing, PERL Programming, PHP Programming, and business report programming. I work with both Windows and Linux operating systems on a daily basis, and I'm experienced in FreeBSD Unix though I don't use it as much these days. I graduated from the University of Phoenix in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree in information technology. I'm also a Microsoft Certified Professional, A+ Certified, and a Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT).
NOW: - here at Puget -
I have been with Puget Systems since November of 2004. I currently work in the customer service department, but I often help with and implement other projects for Puget.
I'm currently working toward a Cisco Certified Network Associate certification to continue my industry education.
MY FIRST COMPUTER:
My first computer was a Texas Instruments TI-99/4A. My father got me started in 'Extended BASIC' programming when I was 11 years old.
MY DREAM COMPUTER:
I want a portable computer that has good ergonomics. I think the Oculus Rift headset is a good step towards that goal. Next, we need some better human input devices.
RECOMMENDED SOFTWARE/GAME(S):
I like the Ubuntu operating system; imagine using a good unlimited and open-source operating system for free, no strings attached! For games, I enjoy Heroes of Newerth, Ancient Domains of Mystery, Mangband, Space Empires, Battle for Wesnoth, et cetera.
LIFE: - outside Puget's walls -
Unlike many people in the IT industry, I love the sun. During my off-time, I enjoy sailing, waterskiing, hiking, trying to surf, and a few video games.
